Purpose: 4 Keys to Unlocking Your Purpose

Purpose, everyone has their measure of it; no one on earth was born without it. Life is to be lived on purpose. Have you ever been lost in a mall having to find the directory to assist you in locating where you are? Most of the time there is an X marking the spot saying: "You Are Here." Often in life we become lost and find ourselves in need of an X to mark the spot, our spot is called purpose. Purpose is Power, our ticket out! Spending time re- acquainting with yourself can really help you understand your life's purpose.

You have been graced with awesome gifts and talents that are already planted within. If someone told you that there was a pot of gold within you and all you have to do was search for it, what would you do? Well, yes you would search for it. You hold the key to your success. Your gold mine is nuggets that you have been operating in all along. You have been blessed with capabilities to travel back into the archives of time to search them out; your treasures. Some of your gifts are laying right on the surface just waiting to be gathered for your use. As I said before, you have been operating in these gifts all along. Now, it's time to tap into the 4 keys to unlock your purpose. Are you excited and ready?

Key # 1, Define it: Pay close attention to what you have been doing all along. For example: I discovered that I am an entrepreneur. When I looked back into my past, I realized that I was creating and selling my own products since I was about nine years old. Now it's your turn; use your past as a friend, it holds valuable keys for your success.

Key # 2, Discover it: What are you passionate about? In other words, you would do this even if you were not paid for it. You wake up in the morning eager to do this. Do not rule anything out. What might seem silly to you could be the very thing that will shape your life into what was intended from the beginning.

Key # 3, Capture it: You have to catch purpose by agreeing with what your inside is speaking to you. Once I defined and discovered that I was an entrepreneur I had to speak that out of my mouth. Eventually, I started believing that I was an entrepreneur. It's been almost 25 years and I am still going strong and have never returned to the work force with a boss other than myself.

Key #4, Take Action: Once you determine what it is that you are gifted to do, set some goals and start making something happen in regards to your purpose. Maybe spend some time researching and studying it, or even start something part-time. Remember it's nothing new. Now it's time to get paid for it. Begin to develop habits on purpose!
